As we come off of spring break, students must deal with a demanding schedule after a week of (if you are anything like me) sleeping in, eating homemade food, and doing absolutely nothing of value to society. Trying to return to life as a college student is just about as irritating as finals week.
But there are a few ways to make the transition easier, most of which are legal. First, sticking to a schedule, even if it means losing sleep for one day, will make subsequent days somewhat less painful. Also, depending on your exact class schedule you can probably manage a short nap in the middle of the day, which means you might be able to get up on time without feeling like you have been beaten with a textbook.
Also, make sure you are eating enough. Lack of food eventually equals lack of energy, and that could be a bad way to start the last quarter. Even though you might be rushing between classes, try getting food that can easily be stored and transported, even as little as a fiber bar to hold you over until the bell rings.
Last of all, make sure that you don’t get too busy. Even if your class load is heavy, you need a little time off so you stay sane. Call the family, make friends in your classes, or turn to a fellow SSP-er for support.
