Crew Game | Gretchen Weber

This past Tuesday May 1st was the 11th Annual Connor Senn Memorial Match between OSU and the Crew men’s soccer teams at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.  In honor of Senn and his tragic passing from cardiac arrest in September 2001, the game was focused on raising awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in athletes.  Local firemen were hosted at the game and demonstrated CPR for fans.  The game got off to a rainy start and was called off at the 31 minute mark due to lightning, leaving The Crew with a lead of 4 to 0 against the Buckeyes.  All of the proceeds from the 1,000 fans who showed up were donated to Dorothy M. Davis Heart & Lung Research Institute.
