Park of Roses | Anna Meyer

This article highlights some of the interesting places in Columbus that students can visit via walking or by bus. In the past, this article has covered locations both on and off campus. It has told students about free or cheap locations that one can afford to visit on a college student’s budget. The Columbus Park of Roses is a great example of a location that is completely free, but totally worth visiting!
Located in Clintonville, the Columbus Park of Roses is a huge, 13 acre garden. This garden was created in the 1950’s. It contains over 11,000 rose bushes of thirteen different types as well as other specialized gardens. Some of the other gardens include the Daffodil Garden featuring over 350 types of daffodils, the Herb Garden, and the Perennial Garden.
Parking and admission are both free at the Columbus Park of Roses. You can visit any day of the year from dawn to dusk. For more information about the park and its location please visit: www.parkofroses.org/
