Summertime Foodie Fun | Elizabeth Martin

As the quarter comes to a close, most of us find ourselves daydreaming about how we are going to spend our summers. Some of us are working, interning, vacationing, or just relaxing. Of course, while we’re busy with all of that, most of us will be attending summer barbeques. Do you often find yourself stumped about what to bring to these functions? Instead of copping out with a bag of chips and a case of soda, try your hand at making some colorful and memorable foods!
I love all things lemon, and this cake is one of my absolute favorites to make. It’s a perfect mix of tart and sweet, all contained within a deliciously soft and moist cake. This recipe contains no gluten-for those of you who are health conscious and/or have allergies.

There’s nothing better on a humid, hot Ohio day than an ice cold popsicle. The link I’ve attached above contains recipes for over 30 icy treats! My personal favorites are the smashed strawberries, the banana pomegranate, and the lemon tea popsicles.

My aunt has been bringing this to every family function for years. It’s something different without going over the top. The blueberries and the zucchini perfectly complement each other in this delicious recipe. A must try.
